“I Almost Quit Movie Making When I Lost My Wife And My Son Due To The Role I Play In Movies” Abija

Veteran Yoruba movie actor Tajudeen Oyewole, popularly known as Abija, has shared the tragic incident that occurred in his family, which nearly caused him to quit filmmaking.

In an interview with media personality Damilola Banire, as posted on the official YouTube channel of Oyinmomo TV, Abija disclosed that he almost gave up on his acting career when he lost his wife and son due to the roles he typically plays in movies.

“I always believe that anything that happens to me is the will of God, and that is why I don’t plan evil against others. I was working on a movie location, and I decided to go back home to see my family because it was a few days to the Muslim festival,” Abija recounted.

However, upon returning home, Abija was met with the devastating news that his wife had passed away. Tragically, on the same night, his son also died, leaving the actor devastated and questioning his decision to continue in the film industry.

“When I got home, my wife had died, and on the same night, my son also died. I almost quit movie making when I lost my wife and my son due to the role I play in movies,” Abija said, his voice heavy with emotion.
