The Utah Lieutenant Governor’s Office has made its notary practice exam available via Google Home, it announced June 14. That means that before taking the state’s notary test, people can take the practice test orally at home.
“We are always looking for new ways to help notaries be more successful in the important role they play,” said Jennifer Storie, office administrator for the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, in a statement.
In the same statement, Utah CIO Mike Hussey said the state is planning on adding more services to digital assistants.
The Center for Digital Government* recently named the Lieutenant Governor’s Office a winner of its Best of Utah awards for its notary website. The Google Home project builds on the state’s focus on AI, which was a major talking point for Hussey at the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) Midyear conference in April.
